As part of the national Museums at Night Weekend we are opening the archives at dusk . . . . It’s free, fun and informative! This year we have been searching the archives to find maps, plans, photographs and documents to bring to life the homes and gardens of North Yorkshire, all different sizes and social aspect explored. We are joined by two specialist gardens selling their plants, Helmsley Walled Garden and Dark Star Plants from the walled Garden at Rounton giving us an excuse to show the historic plans from the archive. Ever fancied having a go at decorative marbling and wood graining? Master craftsman Steve Oxley is running two hands on workshops. These workshops are the only timed events with limited places please ring 01609 777585 to book a place and for further details. All welcome see you on the night!
